JACKSONVILLE, Fla — Comedian Sal Vulcano will be performing at the Florida Theatre on February 7 as part of his “Everything’s Fine Tour.”

The Impractical Jokers star recently launched his new standup special “Terrified” for free on YouTube.

Vulcano sat down with WOKV’s Chase Bunker ahead of his performance to talk about the success of Impractical Jokers, his new special, and why he released it on YouTube.

I asked Sal when he’s moving to Florida along with the rest of the Staten Islanders. “Isn’t it funny how that’s like so accurate what you’re saying...it’s like they say Brooklyn or Long Island move to Staten Island and then Staten Island...moves to either Jersey or down to Florida. I can’t tell you how many people I know that have taken that path. Maybe I’ll just stay after the show on February 7th.”

On his decision to post “Terrified” onto YouTube rather than have it on a streaming service, Vulcano says, “[f]or comedians right now it’s like, you can wait around until some of the streamers need you or ready to do it or you kind of wait for other people, but YouTube has changed the game in the last like four-five years because it’s like you take control. You have the ownership of your stuff when it goes down, how it goes down. Right now, I think the big thing is for comedians, we want the most possible amount of people to see our special and then come out and see the tour. So with YouTube, more people have the internet than subscribe to certain streaming services. So it’s just free, it’s a click away with a link and so there’s much easier access to it.”

While he posted the special before touring, Sal says the material on tour will be 100% new. “That’s the whole thing, we put it out and we kind of have to retire it.”

Vulcano says he still has the “Whose phone is ringing?” ringtone from his punishment in season 5 and when asked about his spiciest hot take, he says “M&M’s are a candy bar.”

Tickets are on sale now and you can watch “Terrified” here.
